In Search of a Winding Line

In Search of a Winding Line with a pinch of salt refers to the title of the previous exhibition by Olga Mokrzycka-Grospierre Placeing of the Right Angle presented by the Exhibition Bureau / Polish Modern Art Foundation in 2013.
The artist’s latest paintings contrasts with her earlier works which were inspired by order, architecture and modernism. The presented images are a formal experiment, fun with technology and painting tradition. It is an intuitive action in which the artist freely and lightly extracts loose connotations and observations in delicate colors from the black background, creating non-obligatory forms, painting cut-outs.

Olga Mokrzycka-Grospierre
a visual artist, creates paintings, installations and scenographies.
Author of paintings and spatial activities, as well as stage design and costumes for performing arts. She graduated from the Faculty of Painting (2000) and Scenography (2003) at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. He collaborates with Krzysztof Warlikowski’s New Theater.
